i think i discovered Nep just scrolling through instagram reels (i know i know), when she was promoting Milk Town / Mr. Carter's single release. i listened to a lot of her other songs too- i think my standouts were Marmalade and Soup Song? i was very excited when Nep announced that she was releasing an album, which is THE Nep's Storybookthat you're now reading about!! i think my favourite thing about this album is the story that's told throughout(hence the name). there's world-building and characters and relationships to be examined without having an explicit narrative, and although i personally quite enjoy a clear narrative i think this is super cool!!!
